Lip of the day: MAC Viva Glam Nicki

Well hello there! Here are some lip pictures of me wearing the vibrant, yet pretty pink from MACs Viva Glam Nicki. The lipstick can still be purchased from MAC cosmetics yet this is a limited edition shade and is only available for one full year. Sorry I am no help on when the year ends, just know we are about half way through the year of promoting Nicki. I like the finish and texture of this lipstick. It is a bold pink and may need to be toned down if you want something more your lips but better. I could see wearing this for a fun night out on the town!

Lip of the Day: Revlon ColorBurst Coral

Looking to hop on the coral/red trend? This Revlon lipstick is sure to please both cool and warm-toned gals alike! It is a creamy shade with more than adequate opaqueness. Color description would be a true red-orange. Warm gals may appreciate this shade more and will look "red" on them where in contrast to my cool tones the orange warmth comes out a bit more on me.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection HOT

If you are familiar with the ads that came out promoting the Cover Girl Lip Perfection lipsticks then 1. Taylor Swift likely comes to mind and 2. this is the shade they promoted Taylor Swift wearing for the ad campaigns. This Hot shade is a gorgeous, living life bright red. Creamy and opaque this shade has no shimmer or any of that other frilliness. This is a red of an apple red that everyone dreams of finding. It does have a 1/20th of a pink shade to it which might be why its more wearable than other "reds" I've tried. Be warned if you don't want the lipstick to stain your lips because there is a 100% chance this shade will.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection

Temptation, (not to be misconstrued with Temptress) is a orange lipstick and contains some faint gold shimmers throughout. I would say it has medium opaqueness making it a very layerable shade. Try it layered over pinky shades to give your lips a summer golden goddess vibe!

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Delight

Delight is a pretty creamy mid toned pink that enhances a natural lipcolor. Mid opaqueness with a slight tint of "neutral" than Tempress to give you a more wearable everyday pink.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Tempt

Tempt is another bold in your face almost dark red shade. This one is slightly more deep berry than actually red, but a bold and beautiful shade of red nonetheless.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Rush + Temptress

So as you can tell I wasn't a super fan of Rush and thought hey this would be a good color to combine with the overly bright pink "Temptress," I have to say the effect is a nice creamy mid-tone neutral pink. What do you think of this lip pairing?

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Rush

For the warm toned ladies this may be the nude you have been looking for. Rush is a medium tone brown that leans toward terra-cotta. This has a creamy finish and wears well.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Romance

Oh the lip of the day. The name sounds so fun and flirty and I will have to admit that this is not a favorite shade of mine. The color is quite unique with tones of brown, mauve and purple all wrapped in the iridescence of this shade. Now maybe it is because I am quite pale, or maybe the shade just doesn't flatter my skintone, whichever this is you will need a lot of confidence or an outfit that is in the need of a brown shade. This lipstick has a frosty/iridescence finish to it.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Flame

Hello bold red lips! Flame is a red hot red. This is a nice cream, opaque with no shimmer or iridescence. The color is bold and long-lasting. This one will stain your lips! I would say its a nice just bitten red cherry red to the lips.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Rapture

If you're looking for a shimmery/frost with coral peach tones, then rapture is the shade for you. Frost lovers will enjoy this lovely color, however the frost does have its drawbacks as it draws attention to any flakes. The color is quite beautiful though as a pretty pink/peach light coral shade.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Darling

Darling is a gorgeous pink shade with just a hint of purple to it. It is a lot like Cover Girl's lip perfection lipstick in Heavenly. However Heavenly is more of a neutral pink, where Darling has cooler tones associated with it. This shade also has ever so slight hint of a sheen to it, whereas Heavenly was strictly a cream.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Dazzle

Dazzle, dazzle! Is such a shade as this contains a sparkle iridescence throughout the lipstick. This shade is more of a medium toned pink with hints of mauve throughout.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Temptress

Temptress is the pink version of CG Lip Perfection's Divine. This shade is hot pink and very bold when worn alone. The pink is nice and creamy/opaque. This could easily be layered with any other shade to give it a pink pop.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Divine

Yowsah!! Can you say hot purple! Well imagine that Cover Girl did create such a statement lipstick with this shade here. I would say for the bold and adventurous you may wear this for a nigh on the town. Or for the less faint at heart (such as myself) I would look into purchasing this shade to layer with other shades to which you want to cool down or ad a punch of purple!

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Kiss

Kiss is a frosty "nude" pink/peach of the CG Lip Perfection lipsticks. some people may not be so in love with this shade because of the frost, but the shade is a gorgeous combination of pink/peach.

Lip of the Day: CG Lip Perfection Heavenly

The name of this CG Lip Perfection is quite perfect as I would say it compares quite well to MAC's Angel (look for comparison swatches in the future). This is a gorgeous mid-tone neutral pink with an ever so slight sheen/shimmer to it. I love it because it is not too pink and has a soft of mauve through it to keep the tone in check. Great all around wearable pink.
